About Charley

Charley combines substantial courtroom responsibility with rigorous written advocacy. He has managed matters from preparation through disposition, argued dozens of hearings, taken and defended depositions, and written briefs and motions addressing complex issues. Earlier in his career, Charley served as a law clerk to Judge Carlos F. Lucero of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Charley values understanding each record thoroughly and presenting the points that matter most clearly, practically, and persuasively.

Charley grew up in Eugene and enjoys bringing his legal experience home after practicing in Colorado for a number of years. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, young daughter, and dog, as well as reading, traveling, and sports. Earlier in his career, he taught in Tanzania and learned enough Swahili to teach classes in the language.
